The work
A Founding Associate builds and ships MyGymDay: the mobile app members use, the partner app gym owners run their floor from, the website you are reading, and the database underneath all three. It is an engineering role, and you will have your own code in front of real users in your first weeks.
Four things make up the week. Building screens and features in the React Native app — check-in, plans, progress, the partner console. Working on the web surface: this site, the admin panel, the pages that have to load fast on a cheap phone. Writing the data layer in Supabase and Postgres, which means schema, queries, row-level security and the functions the apps call. And shipping — builds that go to the App Store and Google Play, then the bug that turns up an hour later.
You will be judged on whether what you shipped works on a real phone in a real gym, whether it stayed working, and how quickly a reported bug is actually fixed. The brief is wide by design: expect to pick up a part of the stack you have not touched before, and expect the room to decide how it is done.
